With analytical aptitude and a strong academic background, Amanda is actively pursuing a career in strategy and risk management in the financial sector.
As a member member of the Asia:NZ Young Leaders Network, Amanda actively promotes healthy business and academic relationships with Asian institutions.
Amanda graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, with a Bachelor of Arts. She majored in Economics, Political Science and International Relations, placing emphasis on quantifiable economic theory and benefits of New Zealand's trade with Asia. Beyond her impressive transcript, Amanda participated in extra-curricular activities whilst at Victoria, including: the Victoria International Leadership Program and the China Field Study exchange.
During her studies, Amanda worked part-time for the Actuarial Services team at Deloitte NZ, based in Wellington. She developed sound analytical and data manipulation skills, which proved useful in the summer of 2011-12 when she completed an internship in the Economic Forecasting team at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
Amanda returned to Deloitte in March 2012 where she continues to develop strong financial and actuarial modelling capabilities, with particular emphasis on solvency analysis of banks and insurance companies.
