She stayed away from New York City only briefly, returning to complete studies for her MD at NYU School of Medicine, followed by a residency and fellowship in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, also in New York, NY. While training at Mount Sinai in 2007, Dr. Itzkoff won the Adele Zinberg Award for Women's Leadership in Psychiatry. Today, Dr. Amanda Itzkoff holds an appointment to the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.
