Amanda Mitcheltree

Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Trying to live every day with the motto of "dreams don't work unless you do."

Due to my future dreams and goals, I'm currently a student at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia studying Dairy Science. I chose one of the best Dairy Science programs in the country because of the passion I have for dairy science and agriculture.

I am currently employed with United DHIA services as a part time field technician. As a field technician in Southwest Virginia, I test an average of six herds per month.

During the summer of 2014, I held an internship with Fulper Family Farmstead, LLC. in Lambertville, New Jersey. While there, I held the position of the agritourism intern. I was responsible for coordinating and running the summer camp program and assisting with farm markets and other events.

During the summer of 2015, I will be working as an intern for Prince Agri Products, Inc and anticipate graduating from Virginia Tech in December 2015.
