For as long as I can rememebr, I wanted to own my own restaurant. I went to school to study business and thought I was well on my way to fulfilling my dream. That was until my sophmore year in college when I actually began working in a restaurant. I quickly realized that the idea of owning my own restaurant was much nicer than the reality. While I have worked for over four years now in the restaurant industry, it is not something I am passionate about. Thankfully, it opened the door to my future in sports and entertainment.

My junior year at Rutgers University, I switched majors - from Business to Exercise Science and Sport Studies. I got my first internship that following summer with the New Jersey Jackals, a professional, independent baseball team in Little Falls, New Jersey. I can easily say that I learned the most about the sports industry while working for this organization. I got the most hands-on opportunity I could have asked for. I did everything from re-painting bathrooms, to selling tickets, to being a mascot and dancing on dugouts, and even announcing several home games in front of sold out crowds.

I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Sport Management from Florida State University. While at FSU, I volunteered my time during the 2012 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. I also began an internship with USA Football. As an Event Operations Intern, I assisted in the production of the 2012 World Football Festival in Austin, Texas. I lived and worked in Austin for a month during the tournament, which featured 8 international teams from five different continents. I organized the logistics of coach and player check-in, put together player schdules and tournament information and finally ran the games themselves.

Upon returning from Austin, I joined USA Football as a Sponsorship Sales and Activation Assistant. In this position, I prospected potential sponsors, put together proposal documents, engaged with clients during development calls, and assisted with the activation of several sponsorships. In a short time, I was able to prospect and secure a national sponsorship for Team USA and USA Football.

Personally, as a child, being able to attend a sporting event was magical. It is now my goal to bring this magic to those experiencing a game or event for the first time.
