I’m currently the PR & Media Manager at the Content Marketing Institute where not only do I perform “traditional” public relations duties including writing releases, media relations and other marketing duties as needed; I also oversee all our video production efforts. In 2015, I traveled the world producing a documentary about content marketing for CMI called The Story of Content which was released in September 2015.
With a background as an award winning TV journalist for 10+ years, I have a keen understanding of the best ways to develop strategic media relations and pitch journalists for maximum press exposure. Not only that, I understand how to plan, schedule, research and budget for video projects as well as how to develop and write scripts for video (which is MUCH different than print!).
Public relations is all about getting your company’s story out there- whether through earned, owned or paid methods and through different channels, including print, digital or video. I love creating content to tell these stories!
