Hello! My name's Amanda, but nobody calls me that. Everyone calls me Mandy. I am a young, 25 year old mother who enjoys reading, writing, drawing, painting, and various other forms of artistic expression. I have three young children (all boys, please save me now!), 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 turtles, and the love of my life. I also enjoy dying my hair to match that of my children's hair because I love how pretty my sons' hair is and I want to have hair as beautiful as theirs is too.

I have a blog called Living with Boys, and I will be updating it regularly as I have been inspired to share my artistic ability through writing as well as through the silly comics that you see just to the left of this bio. The blog has a live-feed on this page, and you can read it via the post-links whenever you'd like.

I aspire to become a midwife someday, as I strongly believe that birth is something to be admired and not something to fear. Too many women are afraid of birth, and I want to teach them, and guide them into motherhood the natural way, and also, to embrace the wonder that is the birth of a whole new life, and to not fear it. I feel that I am already partially there because I help my kitties birth their babies, and am there to help them through their pregnancies. Even though a human is different from an animal, birth is still birth, and its something that I feel very blessed to be part of when I attend to the births of the kittens. I wish to carry over my current skills into a very rewarding career of midwifery. I plan on going to Ryerson University in Toronto for September of 2014 and plan on graduating with honors from the midwifery program at Ryerson in 2018.

Cheers!
