Amanda Waters

I graudated in December 2012 with my Masters in Sport Management (a semester early with a 3.7 GPA). I interned with the Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs for two and a half seasons, gaining experience in both Communications and Game Operations. I also gained experience in Event Management when I interned with the arena side of things with the BMO Harris Bank Center. One of the great things about interning in a smaller market is you're not running out getting people coffee and observing from the sidelines, you gain hands on experience at several different levels.

I am currently the Race Services Administrator for Rockford Speedway, a 1/4 mile asphalt NASCAR sanctioned race track and Forest Hills Lodge, a banquet facility on the Speedway grounds.
