Amanda Young has worked in the event industry for nearly ten years.
Amanda is expert at event marketing, convention management, and experiential/trade show events. Her skill set, approach to leadership and effective ability to multitask priorities ensure that all of her projects are detail oriented and highly organized, which enables executives to better understand the return-on-investment of each project.
Prior to joining GE Healthcare, Amanda served for four years as the Senior Manager of Event Marketing for Blackbaud, the leading global provider of software and services designed specifically for nonprofit organizations. While at Blackbaud, she managed and supervised Blackbaud’s event marketing strategy, sales kick offs and customer conference – BBCON, the Conference for Nonprofits
Amanda has worked closely with product marketers to set the strategy, create the event plans and execute event marketing campaigns. In 2009 she successfully combined four separate user conferences and training content for over 20 products into one comprehensive event. Additionally, Amanda managed Blackbaud’s largest revenue-generating exhibits and worldwide events, including AFP, NTEN, NetHope and DMA. Lastly, Amanda was responsible for the development of print materials, marketing collateral and branding for most of the company’s global events.
Prior to Blackbaud, Amanda worked in the finance industry where she managed event marketing and campaign management for the America’s region at Wall Street Systems, a treasury management IT provider.
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
She currently resides in Charleston SC, with her husband, Rich, sons Gavin and Quinlan and rambunctious dog Bailey
