Amanda Blake

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a teacher living in Oakville, ON. I am a fan of travel, baseball, and swimming. I’m also interested in music and reading.

My high school history teacher got me interested in learning about history, which is why I majored in it in University. I tend to prefer European History, and my favourite course in University was learning more about the Holocaust.

I have travelled to Italy, but would love to go back to see more, as well as: Greece, Germany, Poland, France and Spain.

I have been teaching for 9 years in the primary division (K-3). I look forward to learning more about how to make history interesting to students, and about teacher higher grades.

In my spare time I like to read a variety of books as well as work on jigsaw and crossword puzzles. I spent 18 years running a private swimming company, but these days I just swim for fun and exercise.
