Amanda Harding

My name is Amanda Harding; I am an aspiring Entrepreneur. When I was younger I never wanted a desk job, I always wanted to become a nurse; however, after jumping into the business world right from high school, I started to love business, and the idea of one day owning my own business. After working for my parents for several years I decided it was time to further my knowledge so that I could be as successful as possible when taking over their company and starting my own, which is why I enrolled in the Entrepreneurship and Business Management program at Algonquin.

Other then going to school, I am also heavily involved in volunteer work. I help put on multiple youth and justice focused events through out the year, and I work with the homeless in our City the last Thursday of every month. I am also heavily involved in planning and executing fundraising events. Aside from school and volunteering I love dance, snowboarding, skateboarding, baking, and music.

At the moment I am not to sure what my future holds, there is so much I want to do; however, after graduation I plan to go back and work for my parents and help manage their business as they prepare for early retirement. I also plan to start my own bakery or baked goods distribution company that deals mainly with allergy friendly baked goods, because that is my specialty. I bake all kinds of awesome sugar free, gluten free, yeast free, lactose free, peanut free baked goods.
