Amanda Mthembu

Welcome! I am a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg specialising in Life Sciences and Geography, with a passion for inspiring learners and making a positive impact through education. I am committed to continuously growing both personally and professionally as an educator. My teaching philosophy is that every learner can succeed in an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation.

I am passionate about science education, environmental awareness, and integrating technology into teaching and learning. Since 2025, I have been tutoring first-year Life Sciences students at the University of Johannesburg, and I have also gained valuable classroom experience through my teaching practice, where I have strengthened my lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment skills.
