Coming from a one hundred percent Italian family, my life consistantly revolves around food. Even when I'm not hungry, my grandmother is shoving pizzelles in my face, because "itza just-ta little. You need to eattah more. Mangia."

Having lived on the East coast (both North and South), the West coast, and in Italy, I've seen a lot of food. And done alot of eating.

Whether it's fried catfish in North Carolina or gourmet burgers in California or pumpkin gnocchi in Italy, I believe we all face the same food issues:

Food is good. We like to eat. And it can be overwhelming to think about eating healthy with our hectic lifestyles.

I am an advocate for healthy, unprocessed, simple, and clean recipes. Ones that fight against the heart disease and diabetes that run in my family, and in most American families for that matter. I don't believe in fad diets or following the latest trends. I do believe that we should do whats best for our bodies in a way that works for our lifestyles. At all times.
