My name is Amanda Scott, I am 20 years old and I live in Mobile, Alabama.
I am pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies at Faulkner State Community College. I plan on transferring to pursue a Bachelor of Science at a 4 year state university. I aspire to have a legal career with the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the American Civil Liberties Union, or another nonprofit organization that is dedicated to preserving the constitutional principle of the separation of church and state and protecting the civil rights of minority groups.
My main area of interest is constitutional law. I am particularly interested in the No Religious Test Clause of Article VI and the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment which prohibits the government from setting up religious tests for public office, establishing a federal or a state religion, or otherwise endorsing religion, and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment of the federal constitution which prohibits discrimination by the federal and state governments.
I run a Facebook group called The Wall of Separation (https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheWallofSeparation/) dedicated to the separation of church and state.
