Known for her "one-of-a-kind" creative and adventurous spirit, Amanda's professional resume includes over ten years of public relations and marketing, special events planning, and cultural program management experience at world-class museums and international broadcast networks.
She has masterminded and overseen large-scale marketing and media plans for world-class exhibitions, high profile events, cultural art festivals, and worked and traveled abroad in over 20 countries, including a three-year teaching term in Cairo, Egypt.
However, she became best known for her talent at curating multifaceted cultural arts events that draws thousands of curious DC art millenials which made her mark in the creative class of Washington, DC. Her events and public relations work has been reviewed in the Washington Post, DC Modern Luxury, Washingtonian, Capitol File, Bloomberg, Refinery 29, Daily Candy, and other prominent social art blogs.
In the past five years, Amanda has become more and more involved in the contemporary art sphere primarily due to her spectator visits to art and design fairs. This past year, she was also selected to serve as the Washington, DC Event Host for mediabistro®.
Amanda is currently working as a Communications Manager for Design Miami/, the global forum for design with annual fairs in Miami and Basel, Switzerland.

Brains: Amanda, a proud second generation Puerto Rican American, holds a post-graduate degree-certificate in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design from Georgetown University (2008) and graduate coursework in Islamic and Asian Art History from University of London, SOAS (2004). She earned her bachelor of arts in Asian Studies and Japanese language with a minor in Art History and Anthropology from Mary Baldwin College (1997).
