Play ball! Strike three! Safe! Out! Those are just a few of the words that have filled up most my life and will always be special to me. I grew up on a softball field in Lawrenceville, Georgia playing the game I love. This game has taught me more than I ever would know about life. I have learned to never give up on my dream, to never quit, to never be selfish and to always have your teammates back. These lessons may seem to only apply to softball but using these in the workplace, school and at home has helped me tremendously in life. Even at hard times in life or on the field, softball has been a blessing in disguise to me. Coming to The University of Georgia was such a culture shock to me and getting the opportunity to play softball here has given me more than I need to settle right in and automatically have twenty new friends. Being on the team here has allowed me maximize on the life lessons I have inquired over the years. It also has given me an outlet to many different opportunities here at UGA, such as: a Christian community, leadership clubs, and job opportunities during and after college. I will always cherish this sport and be grateful for all it has given me.
