What’s up, I’m Amanda.

I’m a storyteller, clinical social worker, human-centered design facilitator, trainer, speaker, author, and life lover.

I believe stories can change the world—if only we pause to connect the dots, accept the pain, reflect on the patterns, seek help, celebrate the blessings, nurture our spaces, forgive, feel, heal, and, if we’re really lucky, find, hold dear, and stand in the light with our true village.

What do I really do?

I provide narrative and other therapies that honor life journeys and the human spirit. As a mental health/technical trainer in person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally wise care, I help organizations prepare and support their multicultural teams for direct care. I also offer therapy services for young people and families of African backgrounds in the U.S.

I’ve had the privilege of working with over 40 nonprofits across Sub-Saharan Africa—mainly in public health, research, mental health, violence prevention, and girl empowerment—helping them craft and design their impact stories,. My work has been supported by UN, U.S., U.K., Swedish, German, and African agencies. I’ve been doing this for 15+ years.

I belong to two countries Uganda and America- an incredible mix to have in your cocktail right now.

After hours I am enthralled with my three children and large household, a budding novelist- I litter the inboxes of my beloved Millenials and Genz tribe with quotes, jokes, and the short stories that healed our lives. My first novelette- AFRO is coming this coming this Fall, 2025.
