Pelion Elementary School

School counselors play a vital role within the school environment. Elementary school counselors are becoming more essential to the development of America's youth and the future of our country with every passing year. School counselors work diligently at strengthening conceptual skills such as reinforcing the foundations of learning and adapting to varying environments by teaching particular skills and tricks to develop behaviors that work in an ever changing environment. The challenges one faces in this profession are endless and ever changing based upon the individual needs of the students.

The goal of elementary school counseling is to lay the foundation for our youth to grow and fill the positions of next generation citizens, parents and business leaders.

I strive to have a positive impact on each and every student that I reach. With twelve years of experience as a school counselor, I strive to be a dedicated and driven professional and team player.

My professional mission statement is to provide hope, healing, and inspiration to all of my students, parents, and teachers.

This is my 14th year as a school counselor.

I am delighted to be working with you and your student and to be a part of PES and the Pelion Community.

Outside of School, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 11 year old daughter. I love to cook, garden, read, and travel to the beach and mountains.

I live in Gilbert and stay very active in my community by serving on the Advisory Board for the Lexington County Peach Festival.
