TV Host, blogger, and Yoga/Meditation Instructor in Salt Lake City, Utah

Amanda B. Jones is currently a certified yoga instructor who's an adjunct professor of Yoga Teacher Training, Meditation and Eastern Philosophy. She is also currently a TV host for KUTV 2News (CBS), as well as a host/actor and lifestyle blogger represented by Talent Management Group in Salt Lake City, UT. Prior to returning to KUTV 2News as a weekend reporter, Amanda co-hosted an award-winning morning show at 101.5 The Eagle in Salt Lake City; part of a decade-long career in print, TV, and radio journalism. Jones was also formerly a features and music editor at IN Magazine, and a radio host for Millcreek Broadcasting. When she and husband (Utah TV reporter) Chris Jones were expecting their first child, Amanda became certified as a yoga instructor to better herself as well as ensure a flexible (ha ha) career choice for motherhood. After her son was born, she launched a conscious business (http://www.simplegreenme.com) offering yoga, meditation and wellness products in hopes of helping people overcome physical and emotional pain. Amanda also teaches Yoga Teacher Training, as well as Meditation and Eastern Philosophy, at a local college.

A graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in Communication, Amanda has earned several journalism awards, including three from the Society of Professional Journalists. Amanda was also recently voted one of the Top TV News Personalities and Top Radio Shows by City Weekly readers. In the yoga world, Amanda is a main wellness expert for the TV show, "Fresh Living," and has been invited to teach at events such as the Downtown Yoga Festival. She feels gratitude every day for the opportunity to make a living doing what she would do for free: Teach, entertain and inform.

Amanda and her family enjoy traveling, stand-up paddleboarding, exploring their neighborhood on foot, and simple living. They recently downsized from a 1400-square-foot, 4-bedroom suburban home into a 2-bedroom condo in downtown SLC. They have paid off both cars, a credit card, and are just a few years away from being mortgage-free.
