Lake Wylie, SC
I was born in Wharton, Texas in 1976. I was raised in Mobile, AL., where I graduated from Baker High School in 1995. I became a teenage mother at the age of sixteen years old. I did not allow my life to be defined; rather, I pushed through a technical college and graduated with a degree in Medical Assisting. I quickly became employed and of course, as all young people do, I fell in love and married my husband in May of 1997. He adopted my son and we had four more children.
Prior to starting my career in the world of real estate, I obtained a license to sell insurance. I used this as a tool to draw in part time income. My main focus was the children at home, ranging from seventeen to two years old. My role in my home was the base of my negotiating and nurturing expertise. I am also equipped with much patience to endure the longevity it can take to hold out for the best investment.
My part time participation in real estate lead to a passion for the industry that I discovered was much like the acts of parenting!
My career in real estate started in 2006 when I began selling homes as a builder’s representative part time for Piedmont Realty in Gastonia, NC. I held that position for two years until the firm was bought out. During the time that I worked for this firm, I attended J.Y. Monk school of Real Estate in Charlotte, NC. I have been employed with The Goins Group since February of 2010 where I began closing investment properties for Larry Goins.
During my quest to become successful, I endured a divorce and faced all of the responsibilities of being a single parent. Determined now more than ever to make my career take off and become an example for all single mothers struggling to exist in the corporate world, I advanced in my role at the Goins Group where I am now Director of Marketing for Investors Rehab, Inc., another company owned by Larry Goins, as well as selling his investment properties and mentoring investors nationwide, including assisting them with business plan.
