Amanda Cooper

Amanda is a strategic communications professional with more than fifteen years of experience in non-profit and labor organizations.

She is always challenging herself and the people she works with to ask the tough questions about their communications, making sure they are reaching the right people with the right message at the right time.

Though she worked in house for non-profits and labor organizations for many years, she now shares her know-how more broadly as an independent consultant and collaborator with the LightBox Collaborative working with clients such as the Ella Baker Center, Transgender Law Center, the Ms. Foundation for Women, and more.

Previously she has been the Communications Director for UNITE HERE, Workers United, and served in communications roles at the Brennan Center for Justice, the Children’s Village, and the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. She currently lives in Alameda, CA with her husband, daughter and two enormous cats.
