Amanda T. Foley
copywriter, digital strategist, and social media in London, UK
Amanda is a a freelance writer, community manager, storyteller, digital marketing specialist and content strategist.
Amanda not only stays on top of digital content and social media trends, but also brings to the table a solid understanding of user experience, accessibility and the product development cycle, drawing on her time with several tech startups and the interaction design program at Capilano University in Vancouver.
She has a special interest in working with people who want to change the world for the better, 'tech for good' projects, small dogs and ben & jerry's cookie dough ice cream. She also loves delightful copywriting and when she brews her morning coffee to exactly the right flavour.
Originally from Canada, she moved to London in 2010 and has worked with social enterprises like School For Startups, entertainment brands like Channel 4 UK, startups like TechHub and Gogobot, education companies like GetKahoot.com, and also on the core social media team at The Government Digital Service (part of the UK cabinet office).
She’s currently an associate at London-based agency Montfort.io (hire us!), working with awesome clients like Amnesty International UK & the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment.
She enjoys writing biographies in the third person. She also had bright pink hair once and she often thinks about doing it again.
