Amanda Frampton

I have 7 years’ experience as a primary school teacher and have always led by example when implementing ICT into the curriculum, creating engaging and innovative digital learning environments for her students. As an ICT Coordinator, I was responsible for inspiring and supporting staff to effectively integrate ICT into all aspects of their curriculum. I supported teachers on their journey to acquire their departmental ICT qualifications and managed the implementation of Interactive Whiteboards and other technologies into their classrooms. More recently, I have worked collaboratively with colleagues to plan units of work that meet both the requirements of the Australian National Curriculum and realise the potential of ICT as a tool to facilitate learning. I am currently working for a private enterprise called Expanding Learning Horizons. My role with this company as an ICT specialist sees me working with teachers from Prep to Year 12 to embed ICT into their curriculum. At Expanding Learning Horizons, we place a huge emphasis on One Note as the ultimate tool for organising and delivering curriculum. We also explore a lot of web 2.0 tools with the teachers we work with. Expanding Learning Horizons works very closely with Microsoft in Australia which sees us delivering most of the Microsoft Education workshops across the country.
