Amanda Knowles is a skilled digital and social media professional, living and working in the Washington, D.C. metro area. With a master’s degree in journalism, she has 7 years of experience in communications and marketing, in print and online. In addition, Amanda has an eye for design and is passionate about writing, editing and taking pictures.
Amanda is the manager of digital and social media for Safe Kids Worldwide, where she works with the director of technology, digital and social media strategy to plan and implement cross-platform digital communications strategy. She oversees daily operations of the organization's websites, including management of content creation and implementation across Web, social media, e-mail and advertising channels.
Previously, Amanda was the manager of web and social media for the Newspaper Association of America, where she developed and implemented online communications strategies across multiple platforms in coordination with the organization’s traditional marketing efforts.
She holds an M.A. in Journalism & Public Affairs from The American University School of Communication and a B.A. in English from Allegheny College.
