Amanda Mayer

Cause-driven, engaged, and socially conscious – Amanda embraces opportunities that allow her to take on issues and support causes that inspire her, whether it be governance, capacity-building, next-gen engagement, or supporting initiatives for children and youth.

An enthusiastic person with strong communication skills, Amanda is able to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. She is always willing to take on new challenges. In her day job at Imagine Canada, she manages board and organizational governance and the office of the President & CEO and oversees the Young Leaders Initiative. She’s also the General Coordinator & Director of Operations of the National Alliance for Children and Youth (NACY) and the co-Founder of MESH – a network for young nonprofit professionals in the National Capital Region.

Amanda’s education focused on Administration and Communications. She is currently working towards her Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. Born and raised in Montréal, she has a love for la belle province, and though her work is based in Ottawa, she has put down roots on the other side of the river in Gatineau, Québec, where she lives with her husband and provides care for her grandmother.
