Since 2008, Dr. Amannda Richline has also served as the owner and President of Sy's Piece of Heaven, an accredited nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, shelters, and cares for problematic or unwanted parrots. Taking its name from an unfortunate bird that was rescued after its owners were arrested in a drug raid, Sy's Piece of Heaven provides a safe and loving place for abused, neglected or sick parrots to live out the remainder of their lives.
