When it comes to caring for patients, first and foremost, I get to know them. Treatment decisions reflect patients’ preferences, needs and values. My approach is patient centered communication, including not only the patient, but their family members and friends as well. I believe the key to this is patient education and empowerment; I will often draw pictures and diagrams to explain concepts as needed. Throughout my interactions I make sure I provide emotional support such as relieving fear and anxiety, and addressing mental health illness.

I am excited to be part of a wonderful group of physicians in an infrastructure that supports me in offering the best care for my patients.

I am married to an amazing gentleman. We have a young daughter who has just learned the word “no”, and two dogs – a comfort retriever and a Sherpei/Lab mix.

I am an avid traveler and love learning about other cultures. I love going to the theatre and concerts. I enjoy reading, hiking and cooking. I speak fluent Punjabi and can manage a conversation in Hindi.
