My Name is Amara Hamilton I am a sophomore at North Carolina Central University. That by itself is a triumph in my eyes, I say this because I am blessed and privileged to attend college. One of my biggest achievements I believe happened last semester when I managed to get straight A’s for he first time in my life. Please don’t get me wrong I was a pretty good student I just never made straight A’s before. But what made it more of a success was seeing how happy it made my parents.
I believe we that anything is possible just as long as you try. Last semester I got a job and I was busier than ever. I worked hard and I never stopped, when I got stressed out I took deep breaths and kept working. Working like this taught me a lot of things about my self. Things like I am a hard worker, I am passionate about my job and schoolwork and that through it all I can remain positive. I have truly made a difference in my life over the past couple of years in college. Although I have made some changes there are still ways that I can get better. I changed a couple of things about myself that inspired my family to change also. I wanted to make a difference in my life and stop being so lazy so I got a job. I wanted to be happy and not stressed or upset all the time so I decided to only see the positive side of everything. It was easy making changes because I always had my support system to fall back on.
My biggest goal in life is to be successful and to own my own chain of daycares. I want to own as many as five daycares throughout the United States. As for now my short term goals are to graduate from college with a masters.
