I’m a business consultant with over 10 years diverse experience, focusing on providing support and information to assist in the running or future strategy of a business, generally in the form of project work. My most exciting work to date was facilitating sales and customer retention workshops for a non-profit organisation that aims to position women for entrance into the housing and construction related professions in Johannesburg. Not only did I have fun running the workshops, but also I found it rewarding to see the results.

Prior to my stint in South Africa, I worked for the Industry Training Board for the construction industry ConstructionSkills –- and was lucky enough to work on Train to Gain (T2G), a UK government funded initiative to deliver vocational training to employed individuals in the UK, primarily those in the 25+ age band who do not already have a Full Level 2 Qualification, via the Skills Funding Agency, formerly the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).

I also worked for Cable & Wireless Communications, where I used benefits realisation to manage time and resources within the company’s customer retention team, overseeing a team of 20 Customer Retention Advisors. I was later promoted to Project Manager and lead the programme team that delivered the groundbreaking Rolling out of Interactive Services on Digital TV platform across the UK within timescales.

I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other like-minded people. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the client or business unit leader to understand his or her business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.

I am studying for Management degree at Birkbeck, University of London.
