Rebecca Long
Servant Leader, Technologist, and Change Maker in Cheney, WA
I am a dynamic leader in software engineering with over 15 years of experience, specializing in Agile practices, quality assurance, and DevOps. Currently, I lead a global software engineering team, driving innovation, process improvement, and delivering high-quality solutions. My passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion has fueled my work beyond the corporate world.
I founded Future Ada, a Spokane-based nonprofit that advocates for diversity and inclusion in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), and I am committed to empowering underrepresented groups in technology. In addition, I served as Vice Chair of the Spokane chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and contribute to shaping the future of education as a Board Officer of the Eastern Washington University Computer Science Professional Advisory Board.
In my local community, I actively engage in leadership and advocacy efforts. I previously ran for Cheney City Council, serve as Chair of the Cheney Members Association, and am a founding member of Cheney Cohousing, where I work to create sustainable, inclusive living spaces.
