I'm a curious person. I like to know things and the stories behind them. I watch movie credits and I used to read album liner notes, back when such a thing still existed.

Family is important to me, and so is a sense of place. I live within fifty miles of where my great-great-great grandparents lived. Cemeteries mean something to me, and I suppose that's one reason why genealogy is so intriguing.

I try to expect the best from people and situations, even if it means being disappointed over and over sometimes. It takes a lot to make me give up. I can be very stubborn, which is sometimes a good thing and sometimes not.

I believe, but I'm not always sure what it is that I believe in.

There is not much in the way of melancholy that a lap full of cat won't cure.
