Ambika Tripathi
Student and Artist in Troy, MI
Hi! I'm Ambika Tripathi (Um-bih-kuh Trih-paw-thee).
My name's pretty difficult to pronounce, as proven by my teachers who, throughout my years of schooling, have had to ping-pong my name back and forth with me until they get it right.
I'm currently a senior at Troy High School. I turned 17 quite recently, actually, in fact, it was the day before school started. I suppose school was the world's birthday gift to me.
I'd like to think of myself as a pretty funny person, although I might just be awkward and my awkward experiences might just be kind of comedic, we many never know.
My greatest passion has to be drawing. It all started with the "Bad Kitty" books in third grade... I would copy the pictures and proudly show off my "skills" to everyone around me. Since then, I've improved much more than my third grade self ever would have expected (thank gosh)
Being a high school senior comes with a lot- college applications, the fact that it's literally the last year of grade school, and also heading towards what you've worked for ever since the age of five: graduation.
School is kind of all I know- it has allowed me to meet so many different people and experience so many new things, and finally being in my last year of it is both intimidating and kind of amazing. The future seems kind of scary right now, but looking back on my experiences, and knowing my current self, I can't help but be excited and confident about where I'm going to go from here.
