In 1895 Louis Steyns set up his craft shoe factory, which has been running for more than 100 years. Louis Steyns was the first in Belgium to adopt a revolutionary soling technique. And so it came that in a very short space of time, Ambiorix developed to become a hallmark of quality shoes. Today, Ambiorix is still going strong after more than 115 years in the business.

Ambiorix is retailed through over 500 shoe stores across Europe, with personalised point-of-sales materials, and in some cases involving a “shop-in-shop” concept . Ambiorix is an official Royal Belgian Warrant holder. The business also sponsors the Belgian Olympic athletes and the Belgian national football team.
