Traveling. This is one word I would use to describe who I am, Ambree Lavelle. Throughout my short 19 years of life I have had the pleasure to travel to many different parts of the globe, taking away valuable life lessons, memories, and bonds from each respective trip. My journeys have taken me to over 12 countries already and I hope to add many more. I share this love of traveling with my family, consisting of my mother, father, and two brothers. With every trip that gets booked, I get more excited than the last. The opportunity to immerse yourself within another country’s culture, cuisine, language, and tradition, is a rare and valuable chance that I strive to experience as often as possible. Feeling the wheels of the plane touchdown in the new area and placing my phone on airplane mode I release myself to new experiences. Each journey brings upon eye opening moments. Whether it is teaching children how to play soccer in Nicaragua, donating items to an orphanage in Cuba, or visiting natural wonders such as The Swiss Alps, every place adds something memorable. Research has shown that the main reason as to why people travel is to make them realize there’s no one way to live life. This idea is something that I now live by. Extravagant traveling brings upon new types of astonishing foods, and endless opportunities to try particular things you would never allow yourself to do at home. By traveling to various and exotic places my horizon has dramatically changed. My love for traveling has changed who I am for the best. Now I am an individual that is not afraid to take chances and looks at the world as not just a place to live, but as a place with infinite ways to find who you are.
