Amelia C. Stone
Once again, life is in transition. I've recently relocated over 200 miles to Fishers, IN after my husband accepted a job offer in the area. I'm currently exploring our new home.
I am a customer service and management veteran with over 15 years experience in the retail, higher education, and construction fields. I have supervised teams from 5 to 50 employees and served as assistant to administrative positions at Indiana State University, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and most recently at Eastern Illinois University. In many different roles, I have served the public in many capacities.
I possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science/History from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and eventually intend to pursue a Master's degree that encompasses aspects of archives administration, museum curation, historic preservation, and historical administration. I volunteer for mostly historical organizations, and have served as Treasurer of the Clark County (IL) Historical Society for 3 years.
A proven leader, I am capable of learning skills in any field that needs assistance in their endeavors. I am best suited in positions that perform the essential duties that enable administrators to get their own jobs done, and done well. I have always enjoyed the range of environments I've been exposed to and I thrive on the chaos that erupts in any organization at any given time.
While I am currently employed with Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly & Co., my plans within the next 4 years include beginning Graduate work within the Public History/Archives/Historical Administration fields. I am excited to begin another chapter of my life and career.
