Amin Ebrahimi
Research scientist in Delft, Netherlands
I am a scientist at TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research). My work centres on multiscale modelling of heat and fluid flow, with applications in advanced materials processing (e.g. additive manufacturing and fusion-based welding), energy systems, and microfluidic devices. By combining physics-based and data-driven simulations with experiments, I aim to optimise material performance, enhance energy efficiency, and develop innovative solutions for sustainable technologies and manufacturing. My research interest lies in understanding the physics of complex fluids and complex flows and employing this knowledge in the development of novel technologies and am particularly interested in data-driven engineering and optimisation for real-world engineering problems. I enthusiastically explore new ideas, search for novel solutions, and actively apply my knowledge and expertise for effective problem-solving.
