fintech and Blockchain Entrepreneur
Amine Larhrib is a serial entrepreneur with broad experience in cryptocurrency and blockchain-based technology, as well as traditional banking.
Amine’s dual experience gives him a big-picture perspective on the current changes happening within the finance industry. He believes that finance will be revolutionized by DeFi technologies, but also realizes that those changes must be accompanied by regulations that reduce friction between traditional banks and DeFi.
In 2018, Amine launched CryptalDash Ltd, a financial institution based in Gibraltar and specializing in banking services related to blockchain. Amine also founded the CRD Network, which reduces risk by offering a way for people to connect their crypto wallets to their brick-and-mortar banking system.
The CRD Network is a suite of apps built on hyperledger Besu, which uses the Ethereum blockchain, making the infrastructure flexible enough that institutions and individuals can interact with DeFi and build apps on top of it.
The technology mitigates the risk that many cryptocurrency and digital assets participants are facing by offering anonymous proof-of-KYC tools (Know-Your-Customer) in an environment that is compliant with regulations.
Also in 2020, Amine founded DLTify UAB, a company exploring new solutions for blockchain-related issues.
From 2012 to 2016, Amine served as Executive Director of the Darton Group, a group of companies that manage supply chains for high-volume, short lead-time consumer goods. At Darton, Amine focused on innovation, expanded the trading margins by 27 percent year-over-year, and improved measurements for monitoring sales execution.
As a broker for Celere Markets, an independent, Asian inter-deal broker, Amine made trades on equity derivatives and worked with hedge funds, pensions and firms on both the buy side and sell side.
Amine is a graduate of McGill University (BCom) and the London School of Economics and Politics (MSc).
