With more than a decade of business leadership and development experience, Amir Mortazavi is a Texas-based venture capitalist who serves as co-founder of RAK Equity Partners. Since its creation in 2013, RAK, under the leadership of Amir Mortazavi, has developed a reputation for facilitating the growth of companies across a range of sectors from logistics to health care.
Through his role with RAK, Amir Mortazavi also serves as an operating partner for several of the companies in which the group has invested. He serves as president of AM Healthcare Holdings, and has additional experience in the health care sector as managing partner with Total Home Health. On behalf of the latter organization, Mr. Mortazavi owned and operated a pair of licensed home health care agencies. He is currently a board member of Ruckit, Inc, Kinsel Industries, and ZT Wealth.
Mr. Mortazavi began his career as a senior auditor with Ernst & Young. He holds two bachelor’s degrees in business administration and accounting from Texas Lutheran University, where he served as president of the Kappa Pi Alpha fraternity and earned induction into the Accounting Honor Society. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is involved with charitable nonprofits such as Lemonade Day, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Altus Foundation.
