Amir Afifi

I started his architectural education at West Valley College (Saratoga, CA) and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Architecture at California College of the Arts. To me, architecture is a mixture of science and art and that’s what excites me the most. In the last four years at California College of the Arts, I have been experimenting different methods and approaches from product design to bio-architecture. Currently my focus is mainly on digital fabrication. In 2008 I (together with Team Xx) won the Best Overall prize at CalPoly (SLO) “Design Village” competition. My team andI won 3rd place in AIAS Forum Design Charrette 2011, Toronto. As part of the Rapid-type team I received the Architecture Department Jury Prize for our design/build project at California College of the Arts. I serves as the Student Director at Board of San Francisco AIA Board of Directors.
