Amita Shah

I am a plastic surgeon at The University Of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

I completed general surgery residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2013 and have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio (2010). My areas of focus are bone regeneration, angiogenesis, coculture interations, and biomaterials. I completed my plastic surgery training at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

I'm interested in process improvement and use of web-based technologies to augment provider-patient communications and decision-making for improved patient centered care.
