Born in a small town near Lucknow in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, I began my journey in to the corporate world about 1979. With a post graduate degree in Physics from University of Lucknow, I had no idea where to go because Physics seemed to me an alien subject immediately after my degree. I got an opportunity to work for a Market Research Company called CORE, a division of Clarion Advertising, Kolkata (then Calcutta). That exposed me to the world of consumer research & marketing. But in a family of service class to the core I had difficult time explaining my job. So the move to a pharmaceutical company called Carter Wallace Limited based out of Goa. I could find my place under the sun working with them for about six plus years. I had the privilege of being the youngest Manager in the company & a very successful one at that. Then came the opportunity to work for the Times of India Group. I looked after the premium financial daily, The Economic Times, Delhi for a little over six years. Then a move to Reliance Industries Limited in the year 1991 when the company made foray into publishing. The ten year period with them in Observer (India) Limited was full of activities at the highest level. I received never before exposure on marketing, new launches & never before understanding of the customer psychology. While Reliance burnt their fingers in journalism handling stalwarts of highest caliber & decided to close the venture I moved to Lokmat, the highest selling Marathi language daily. That brought me to Pune in 2001 as head of their local edition. That was coming to a full circle. From largest of Corporates to the smallest of shopkeepers. Their buying behaviour & patterns was something that I started practicing on. Once established I found myself on looking at something different. Since then I continue to work for an MBA institute, working on student placement by approaching company HRs to provide me opportunities.

My passion is to make people see things rationally. There is always a mindset, a bias towards something, creating a world of diverse opinions. By looking at things around you rationally you would have lesser people already opinionated. May be we make the world happier. Come forward there is nothing to lose.
