Ammar Charani

Orlando, FL

A longtime entrepreneur in the renewable and alternative energy sector, Ammar Charani is the chairman of Arxiel Ventures, a company he founded in Orlando, Florida, in 2006. As the head of the clean energy investment firm, he oversees all business activity and meets with investors to inform them about the firm’s various projects around the world. Over the years, Ammar Charani has appealed to investors by citing the potential to support developing economies without sacrificing profit.

Under the leadership of Ammar Charani and fellow executives, Arxiel Ventures works to seed renewable energy projects in emerging markets across the globe. After it lays the foundation for the new entities, it operates them through a series of holding companies, with Arxiel Ventures as a minority or controlling stakeholder.

Since founding the company nearly a decade ago, Ammar Charani has played a role in the launch of four companies. Arxiel Ventures remains heavily involved in the operation of Carbonexis, which works within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to finance credit-generating projects in developing nations. Ammar Charani also played an integral role in the establishment of the biomass and energy project developer Faciela Energy, as well as the Middle East-based, solar project developer Mirrasol. The company also operates a considerable venture fund, which it uses to invest in renewable energy projects in emerging markets.

In addition to his work with Arxiel Ventures, Ammar Charani serves as the chairman of NetOne International, Inc., an international company that focuses primarily on long-distance telecommunications services.
