Amna is a Deans' Fellow who completed a Masters in Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School in May 2020.
She is a communications professional who is passionate about advocating for positive change in society. She ran for office in the 2015 and 2017 General Elections in London, UK. Recent campaigns include fighting for better mental health provision for young people and against a third runway at Heathrow Airport
She was appointed Shadow Minister for Refugees for the Liberal Democrats in 2017 and campaigned for humanitarian treatment of Syrian child refugees. She has made numerous media appearances, including on LBC, the BBC, the Guardian and the Evening Standard. She is a regular speaker at schools, community groups and rallies about the need for greater political participation and modern day activism.
She has just under fourteen years' experience working in advocacy and runs Albion Comms,a boutique PR & communications agency. Their focus is onimpactful work which drives social change. She is a regular contributor to UK health policy, including the New Beveridge Report.
Amna graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in History & Politics in 2006.
