AmpleHarvest.org Harvest

While 1 out of 6 Americans are hungry, 40 million Americans grow food in home gardens - often more than they can use, preserve or give to friends.

It doesn't have to be that way.

The AmpleHarvest.org Campaign, backed by Google Inc. and the USDA, is a nationwide program connecting millions of people with extra food in their gardens and local food pantries eager to provide it to their clients.

Founded by CNN Hero Gary Oppenheimer, AmpleHarvest.org is changing the supply side dynamics of local food availability for food pantries throughout America.

Our vision is an America where millions of gardeners eliminate malnutrition and hunger in their own community.
