I’m a rising senior at Virginia Tech double majoring in Animal Science and Food Science, with plans on earning my master’s degree in Meat Science. I grew up showing livestock, and continue to raise beef cattle to involve kids in youth agriculture. I hold leadership positions in Alpha Gamma Rho, VT's Beef Leadership Council, and Alpha Zeta, while also working at VT's Meat Center. To top off my senior year, I’m completing a research project exploring how early weaning accompanied with a grain byproduct finishing program affect beef quality. This summer I’m interning with Cargill’s R&D division in Wichita, Kansas.
