Amy Hopkins is Assistant Director of Instructional Technology for Caddo Mills ISD in Caddo Mills, Texas. She has a Master's degree in Educational Administration and is a Google Certified Trainer.
Amy graduated in 1991 from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She furthered her education by completing a teaching certificate in Basic Business in 1992. Her Master's degree was completed in 2013.
Amy began her career in education in 2004, teaching Technology Applications at the middle school level in the Caddo Mills ISD. In 2010, she added an additional certification in Technology Applications EC-12. During her 8 years in the classroom, Amy served as the campus technology coach for her middle school campus, guiding teachers in their use of technology, working on the district and middle school websites and leading technology training. In the fall of 2012, after 8 years in the classroom, she moved into a new position as the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology for the district, servicing over 150 teachers in their use of technology in the classroom.
She has given numerous technology presentations at Region X Service Center, Texas; Texas A&M University – Commerce; Hunt County Technology Conference; and the Texas Computer Education Association Convention.
Amy has been married to her husband, Keith, for 23 years. He is a Captain with the Mesquite Fire Department. They are both proud Baylor University graduates! They have three daughters; Hannah, a sophomore at Baylor, Lauren- a junior at Caddo Mills High School and Rachel, an 8th grader at Caddo Mills Middle School. She enjoys spending time with her church family, running, napping, watching her daughters in any activity and reading about technology.
