I am a soon to be graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, a wife, and a mother of two rambuxious boys. I will graduate in May of this year with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. My husband, Isaiah and my highschool sweetheart, is a police officer for the City of Lincolnton. We have two small boys, Eli and Rylan. Eli is 2 years old and Rylan is 1. My family and myself reside in Maiden, NC. In our free time we enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. Along with managing a family I am starting the quest of my professional teaching career.
My experiences in the Elementary Education field have given me the practical experience that will assist me in facilitating instruction, assessing progress, and increasing the academic achievement of my students. For 5 months I served as an enrichment facilitator at Lincoln Charter School, for Mrs. Guynes first grade classroom. I assisted in reading enrichment for those students who exceeded expectations in English Language Arts. During my student teaching practicum, I successfully taught students in second grade for 10 weeks. I am in the process of completing my student teaching at Shuford Elementary in a second grade iPad pilot classroom. The iPad pilot classroom has allowed me to further my technology skills and technology integration into the classroom. I feel that with my opportunities as both a tutor and classroom facilitator I will be an asset to have in the classroom.
