Amy Porter

MA, piano technician; BMUS

Serving Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Kingston, Stirling and the greater Quinte Area.

In the fall of 2006, I left the Belleville area to pursue my MA degree in piano technology at The Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Since that time, I have completed my studies in Florida; trained for a short length of time in the Sauter piano factory in southern Germany; have been an assistant instructor at three Piano Technicians Guild National Conventions in the United States; participated in a four month piano technology work study program at The Banff Centre for the Arts in Banff, Alberta and most recently held the position of head piano technician for the Department of Music at the University of Regina.

It is hard to believe that all of this has happened in such a short space of time!

It is exciting to be back in my hometown of Belleville, ready to serve the greater Quinte region once again.

Working on pianos is my passion and I have been very fortunate that I can pursue a living by following that passion. Thank you for your ongoing encouragement and support. You are the reason my job is so worthwhile!
