Amy Cheronis is a results-driven communications professional with more than 20 years of broad, integrated experience across categories, geographies and media.
She is Managing Director of MSLGROUP following the merger of the Leo Burnett PR Newsroom and the Leo+ billable PR practice with MSLGROUP's growing consumer and corporate practice in Chicago. As Managing Director, she focuses on attracting and retaining the best clients and talent while working to develop a highly integrated and modern communications offering.
Prior to MSLGROUP, Amy was the EVP, Reputation & Communications at Leo Burnett, where she led strategy and execution of external and internal communications across the agency's 85 global offices. In this capacity, Amy wore many hats including writer, editor, strategist, coach, media hound and social-media addict. The Chicago-based team Amy led was named In House PR Teams of the Year by PR Week in 2016.
While at Leo Burnett, Amy also ran Leo+, the PR and reputation engine inside Leo Burnett that served clients’ reputation needs across external communications, employee engagement, community outreach, social media strategy and editorial content.
Previously, Amy served as the U.S. Communications Director at DDB and Tribal DDB for 10 years, where she helped drive PR results for famous campaigns including "Whassup" for Budweiser.
Outside the office, serves as President of the Executive Board to EMBARC, the nation’s only teacher-led organization that achieves student academic success through systematic, long-term social and cultural exposure. She is also on the Advisory Board of Unearth the World, a volunteer travel company and is on the Chicago Ideas Co-Op.
