IT Leader, Researcher, and Public Speaker in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania
I'm an IT Leader currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Wilson College and previously as Associate Vice President of Technology and Library Services for Systems, Infrastructure & Applications at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
I have a PhD in administration and leadership from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My doctoral dissertation focused on how women leaders in higher education make meaning of adversity.
I'm a frequent speaker at international, national, and regional conferences on challenges women leaders experience. I also guest lecture and consult on unconscious gender bias, helping individuals and organizations learn how to identify and eliminate such bias.
I received the 2016 Women and Leadership Affinity Group Outstanding Scholarship for Emerging Scholars Award from the International Leadership Association.
My research has been published in academic journals: Human Resource Development Quarterly and Advancing Women in Leadership. I've also contributed chapters to Women and Leadership in Higher Education, the first volume in the International Leadership Association’s Women and Leadership book series and the Handbook of Research on Gender and Leadership, Edward Elgar Publishing.
