I'm currently a journalist on the business desk at The Columbus Dispatch. I'm interested in energy reporting, and the business and politics of that area. I arrived there by way of the University of Pittsburgh, where I earned a degree in nonfiction writing and political science. However, I spent most of my time at the student newspaper, The Pitt News. I've also interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at the Pipeline niche website focusing on energy and natural gas. I'm also a freelancer for The Altoona Mirror in central Pennsylvania. I'm comfortable clutching a notepad and pen in one hand and an iPhone and flipcam in the other. I'm currently learning basic coding so I can expand more on my ability to create interactives.
